Oh, the places you’ll stay!
YDU Tours doesn’t believe that you can rush Ireland, which is why we have planned a 11 night, 12 day adventure. Our basic itinerary starts in Dublin and heads westward to Galway and then south along the west coast of Ireland.
Along our journey, you will stay in clean, comfortable lodgings with a variety of styles and amenities.
In the country, we favor locally-owned and family-run bed & breakfasts where you can get to know the owners and guests more intimately.
The Seaview and Churchfield B&Bs in Doolin, Co. Clare, for example, delightful. And, they’re just up the road from the Cliffs of Moher and two pubs renowned for their traditional music. Talk about location.
In cities and towns, we strive for boutique hotels like the Metropole, Cork, in walkable but quiet neighborhoods that feature historic locations and lively restaurants and pubs.
You will also spend the night in a real 17thCentury castle in Castletownshend with stunning views of Castle Haven Bay in West Cork.
The castle is still owned by the original family, who leases out the stables to our friend, Andy Illsley, who will prepare a feast for us to dine outside, if the weather permits.
